Frequently asked questions

The things people ask most before starting. For how the whole thing works, see the home page.

I have never touched crypto. Can I do this?

What you need to do is: open a Bitfinex account, put dollars or USDT in it, and generate an API key to paste to us. The bot handles the offers from there. Opening the account and funding it happen on Bitfinex; we are not involved.

Will you be holding my money?

No. Your funds stay in your own Bitfinex account throughout. The API key you give us has no withdrawal permission — a key that carries one is rejected when you paste it. In the worst case, if the whole key leaked, whoever has it can see your balance but cannot move a cent.

How soon can I get my money back?

When the loan matures. Terms run up to 120 days and cannot be recalled early. If you know you need a sum on a particular date, set a withdrawal plan: name the date and the amount, and the bot will not lend past it.

Could the rate suddenly drop to zero?

Funding rates move with demand for leverage and are not guaranteed. 10% one month and 4% the next are both normal. An offer priced too high may also sit unfilled — it earns nothing while it waits, and the system flags offers that have waited too long.

Do I need to leave my computer on?

No. The bot runs on our servers and keeps working after you close the browser. You can check the current state from your phone whenever you like.

Which exchanges do you support?

Bitfinex only. Its funding market is an order book — you set your own rate. Retail lending on Binance, OKX and the like is a pool: the platform announces the rate, and there no strategy can change it.

What is the minimum to start?

The exchange won't post a single offer below 150 US dollars — that is a Bitfinex rule, not ours. How much to lend beyond that is your decision; we do not give investment advice.

How does billing work, and can I stop any time?

Monitoring is free; only the accounts you let the bot lend on count towards a plan. When a plan lapses the bot simply stops posting new offers — loans already out run to term at their original rate and are not touched. There is also a 7-day grace period.

Is USDT the same as a dollar?

No. USDT is a stablecoin whose issuer undertakes to redeem it one-for-one. That undertaking has held so far, but it is the promise of a single company, not deposit insurance.

Can I just do this myself?

Absolutely. Bitfinex has a free auto-lend built in that posts at the bottom of the book. If posting at the market price is all you want, you do not need to pay us. What we do is the other half: where in the book the offer sits.
